Get cozy with your favorite coffee in a quiet space. Sessions often start with a brief check-in, then transition into what you feel would be helpful for us to focus on that week. We may continue work from the previous session(s) and discuss pain points that impacted you outside of the therapy space. There’s room for humor, vulnerability, and everything in between.

Although this is a virtual space, I want you to feel comfortable! I encourage you to have fidget toys, a warm blanket, snacks, whatever makes you feel cozy.

what sessions are like with me

Naomi Stephens, virtual therapist in Oregon, sitting at cafe table with open laptop and small stack of books in front of her. She is sipping from a black coffee cup.

I focus on exploring the emotional impacts of relational trauma. While we cannot go back and change the past, parts of it could still be impacting us in the present, which may show up in our relationships with others and ourselves. Therefore, my work is psychodynamic and draws support from relational, attachment-based, and trauma-focused approaches.

This means that as we explore what you’re currently navigating, we would also draw from your childhood or past experiences, your relationships with others, and the therapeutic relationship itself. This helps us to understand your patterns, what influences them, and their deeper meanings and impacts on your life.

who i see

I provide individual telehealth therapy to people who are tired of feeling overwhelmed and consumed by a painful past. People who are exploring their self-worth, relational patterns, and people-pleasing. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating overwhelming life transitions and the emotional complexities that can accompany that.

At this time, I only see individuals who are at least 18 or older and are currently located in Oregon or Mississippi.
